Aerial & climbing-based courses

Our Devon woodlands provide the perfect base for our aerial courses, whether you are an experienced arborist or climbing a tree for the first time. With a wide range of trees to choose from, we offer a broad range of climbing-based courses, including tree climbing and aerial rescue, chainsaw from a rope and harness, aerial tree-rigging, aerial-rescue refresher, an introduction to SRT or a recreational tree-climbing session.

Our expert instructors, the majority of whom are C&G NPTC assessors, have extensive climbing and arboricultural experience and will guide you through the techniques required, whether you are attending an industry recognised course to start or progress your arboricultural career or you are wanting to explore the benefits of spending some time up in a tree.

For our entry level courses, including tree climbing and aerial rescue, a full climbing kit is provided (included in the course cost) for training and assessments. A range of climbing equipment can also be hired for the more advanced courses. Please contact us regarding hiring. In addition to our standard climbing equipment, where possible, we will have examples of mechanical-friction devices (such as Rock Exotica Akimbo, Petzl Zigzag, Notch Rope Runner Pro) and other items you may wish to consider when purchasing your climbing equipment.

For those with aerial-based arboricultural qualifications, we offer advanced rigging workshops, TG1 update training, aerial-rescue first aid, SRT workshops and aerial-based qualification refreshers. Moreover, we can design bespoke courses; please contact us to discuss this further.
